Automatic Swing Door Operators 1. Do I need to use a IRS safety device on a low energy door operator such as the DORMA ED800?2. What power supply do I need to provide for my DORMA automatic swing door operator?
Low energy swing door operators, such as the DORMA ED800, are generally not fitted with safety devices, as kinetic energy levels are not considered to be dangerous. However a hazard analysis and risk assessment should be carried out to establish that the risk to these users is low.
A standard 240-volt 10 amp GPO will need to be fitted for the following models ED200 - Power Point Location (GPO) from ED200 side - Standard arm with door hinges on the left – mount GPO Left hand side of operator - Standard arm with door hinges on the right – mount GPO right hand side of operator - Slide arm with door hinges on the left – mount GPO Right hand side of operator - Slide arm with door hinges on the right – mount GPO Left hand side of operator - Parallel arm with door hinges on the left – mount GPO Right hand side of operator - Parallel arm with door hinges on the right – mount GPO Left hand side of operator ED800 - Power Point Location (GPO) from ED800 side - Standard arm with door hinges on the left – mount GPO Right hand side of operator - Standard arm with door hinges on the right – mount GPO Left hand side of operator - Slide arm with door hinges on the left – mount GPO Left hand side of operator - Slide arm with door hinges on the right – mount GPO Right hand side of operator CD80 - Power Point Location (GPO) from CD80 side - GPO is to be positioned closest to the hinge either door or transom mount |
