Door Solutions for the Elderly & Disability Sector (Attached is DORMA Aust Newsletter Mar 2006)

DORMA Aust Newsletter Mar 2006: TS73 EMF Free Swing Door Closer & CD80 Automatic Swing Door Operator

The primary objective for this sector is to provide a safe and caring environment. This is why buildings such as nursing and residential homes, hospitals and surgeries must conform and embrace every facet of our stringent building codes. Door solutions must meet fire safety standards, disabled access and security – often all of these requirements on a single door!

- Comfort and safety combined -
DORMA specialises in providing solutions that meet these needs without compromise. For example, controlling the spread of fire with fire doors and alarm system can be difficult to operate. But with DORMA’s TS 73 EMF free swing door closer, the fire barrier is kept intact by closing the door when the alarm sounds.
However, when in an unalarmed mode, the door will operate as if there is no door control present. This means both the comfort and safety of occupants are assured.

This innovative product is a combination of hydraulic door closer and electromagnetic hold-open unit.
Equipped with a free-swing arm assembly, the DORMA TS 73 EMF can be used where doors are required to operate normally – functioning in the same way as doors without a door closer. If the door leaf is opened wide (min. 75°), the closer spindle is held in this position by the electromagnetic hold-open device in the hydraulic closer body. more…
